SFM Clichy provides the means for social and cultural inclusion to underprivileged populations in the greater Paris area. It allows them effective citizen participation through access to knowledge and rights. We assist more than 300 families in their emancipation journey through a range of activities, from childcare to adult language courses and parenthood workshops. We also offer notary public services with the help of a team of 35 volunteers and cater to over 4000 queries every year.
From the start, SFM has provided support to underprivileged people, in particular of migrant origin, for a better inclusion in the French society. Nowadays, in this period of global social & economic uncertainty, many refugees & new migrants are moving to France in the hope of a better life. Social inclusion of these freshly arrived families is a sensitive topic & a challenge for all parties.
SFM Clichy gives these families the opportunity to fully participate to civil society and eventually embrace French citzenship. With a staff of 14, assisted by 60 volunteers, it provides a catalogue of activities for children and adults : - French language and socio-linguistic workshops - Drop-in Daycare & young age language skills workshops - Support groups for parents and parenting workshops - Educational support for primary and Middle school children - Public writer and counseling services
The project supports over 2500 persons each year. By improving their command of the French Language & giving them access to a wide knowledge base, SFM Clichy gives them the means to grow their families in the French social environment. Empowered individuals, women & children in particular, will in turn be able to help newly arrived or underprivileged families, contributing to the positive evolution of our society.
