Challenge

The DRC is experiencing instabilities and conflicts among communities and armed groups in the EST in particular. the situation does not calm down, but rather gets worse. the state of vulnerabilities is growing more and more. Peace no longer exists between many communities, violence is recorded every day. access to basic social services is a big challenge and drinking water has become a real luxury. the arrival of COVID-19 reinforces the situation of disaster in which these communities already li

this project flies to the aid of these communities in their : - providing drinking water because the lack of water is also one of the sources of conflicts for some communities, - protect against water-borne diseases and the spread of COVID-19 infections of which they are vulnerable - Establish peace and inclusion between communities in conflict, through inclusive clubs, sports activities and cultures for peace, dialogues and round tables - build resource centers for peace and train them in pea

Long-Term Impact

the sustainability of the project relies on the management of water structures by communities and inclusive peace clubs. to ensure sustainability, local development committees will be set up for the continuity and management of drinking water works. inclusive clus for peace, will continue peace activities, trainings of communities ... in association with leaders of local communities and associations.
