ROLDA carries out its activities in a highly impoverished area of Romania where pets, animals used for work, and approx 200,000 stray animals constantly endure various hazards such as hunger, illness, mortality, and neglect. By implementing a versatile facility like PawzUp, ROLDA can extend its sanctuary to accommodate stray animals, including abandoned and mistreated working animals like donkeys and horses. PawzUp Center will extend support to disadvantaged pet owners and provide pet therapy.
Envision a region spanning 27,158 km, approximately half the size of Switzerland, devoid of any veterinary clinics or contemporary animal shelter facilities. Consequently, local inhabitants lack the means to seek medical care for their pets or to embrace a new pet as part of their family. Infections and diseases constitute a grave menace that we are committed to eradicating.
The PawzUp Center by ROLDA will consist of: The Galati, Romania, Dog and Cat Shelter is currently providing refuge to approximately 200,000 stray animals who are in dire need of rescue. Pet therapy is popular for elderly care. Galati has hundreds of abandoned horses and donkeys from a lifetime of hard work. PawzUp offers a peaceful refuge for animals in their twilight years.
Our goal is to unite people and animals at the PawzUp Center. Whether you are interested in adopting a rescue dog or cat, or simply wish to engage with our animals for a few hours, ROLDA aims to provide you with a favorable experience. The PawzUp Center will provide a humane alternative to Romania's overcrowded public pounds known for mistreating animals. PawzUp will provide job and volunteer opportunities.
