Maintaining trees is so important for them to actually grow. And fair pay social justice as just as much a part of ensuring that the trees grow as anything else. Committed people jhonored and respected for their work tend to change their mindsets and begin to protect the trees they are paid to grow instead of cutting them down.
The trees in Kenya have been waered over the past few months because the typical April rains did not arrive on time. Thanks to our partners IN kaijado county the Maasai herdmen and women, who informed us that the women were willing to pump and haul water to help the trees survive the drought. Luckily, we also used a special product donated to our projects in Kenya that helps the trees be more resistent to water shortages. So far so good thanks to our sponsors who support the project and the caring people ont he ground.
We all recognize it is important to grow trees to hold back the encroaching Saharan desert across the equatorial greenbelt of Africa. We are int he right place and the right time to make a difference. Thank you again and we look forward to shoing you how big and healthy the 400 trees we have planted are so far. Right now, theyare approximately 7 months in the ground.
