Efforts on the Gúanica Dry Forest Reserve site during this period have emphasized consistent irrigation and maintenance of previously planted specimens, and we are happy to report that an excellent adaptation and survival rate is being observed.
Additionally, during the February-April period, a total of 6,812 seedlings of 6 native/endemic species were germinated in our nursery and are currently thriving. The names and numbers of each species of germinated plantules are:
On a last note, the Guánica area has been facing very high temperatures these past weeks, and thus, we are currently vigilant to forest fires.
