Project Report | Feb 12, 2024
Thank you for your support!

By Rebecca Irby | Founder & President

Hello supporters, friends, and family! We have been busy out doing a lot and have a very exciting announcement coming soon! Here's an update that never got sent from 2022. A team is assembling and PEAC is roaring back into action. Thanks for sticking with us! Onward! ~Rebecca

January 2022 PEAC was asked to deliver part of the Joint Statement to the
States Parties of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty at the
United Nations. Attached below.

In January 2022, more than 90 diverse civil society organizations
endorsed a joint statement to the states parties of the nuclear
Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). The statement highlights three key
messages for states parties to consider at the 10th NPT Review
Conference, which has been postponed several times due to
COVID-19 as well as offers more extensive policy analysis and
recommendations. This is a video delivery of the statement and
an update of a similar joint statement from May 2020.

The10th NPT Review Conference has been rescheduled for
August 2022.

We have reached an additional 1,273 people with the
statement. PEAC is hosting the video and will continue to
support the access and inclusion of diverse voices in the UN
System.

PEAC at the United Nations
In 2022, Rebecca Irby was asked to lead a youth delegation to the United
Nations. The following year, Rebecca was asked to lead an official side event
for the Financing for Development Forum, make an intervention
(speech) to the General Assembly as well as speak at a number of
events and programs hosted by UN Working Groups.
