Violence is stealing childhoods in Zamfara; help us reclaim them. This project empowers 200 at-risk students with essential conflict resolution skills to reject violence. By establishing Peace Clubs and providing trauma-healing workshops, we transform vulnerable youth into "Peace Ambassadors." Your donation equips the next generation to resolve disputes non-violently, fostering a safer, more tolerant community for everyone.
Constant insecurity in Zamfara has traumatized a generation of students. Young people witness violence daily, leading to severe anxiety, interrupted learning, and a dangerous risk of recruitment into conflict. Without immediate intervention, these students may view violence as the only solution to disputes. Schools currently lack the resources to teach non-violent negotiation, leaving 200 vulnerable youths without guidance in a volatile environment.
We stop the cycle of violence by teaching the power of dialogue. We will train 200 students in non-violent communication through intensive workshops and establish student-led "Peace Clubs" for ongoing peer mediation. Additionally, we provide trauma-informed psychosocial support to build emotional resilience. These activities equip students with practical tools to de-escalate conflict and champion harmony within their schools and families.
Peace starts in the classroom and spreads to the community. By equipping 200 youths with negotiation skills today, we actively prevent future violence. These students will grow into adult leaders who prioritize dialogue over force, permanently lowering local conflict rates. This project creates a sustainable model for community resilience, transforming schools into safe havens and fostering a culture of tolerance that outlasts the current crisis.
