3 month Report on Peace School activity
On May 23, 2018 was held a final Peace School lesson in 2017-2018 school year. 30 children from 15 schools of Kyiv came to the lesson together with the teachers.
Children presented the results of their research about the one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2015-2030. Each school chose one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and asked to find solutions to the world problems according to the each Goal. It was a final task for children in order to graduate from the Peace School.
The meeting was attended by the UPF Ambassadors for Peace from Japan Mrs. Omori Nobuko. Mrs. Nobuko supports the Peace School Project from its very beginning. She was very happy to see that Peace School are growing and developing.
Representatives of the each school received “Service for Peace“ Certificate from the UPF marking their hard work in Peace School during this academic year.
In the end of the meeting participants shared their impressions and discussed the plans for Peace School activities in the next school year.
Children shared that their participation in Peace School Project was inspiring, interesting and full of joy. They expressed their sincere gratitude to the organizers. During this year, children learned a lot about the peace issues in Ukraine and in the world. They want to share these knowledges with others, practice it in their daily life and become peacemakers in the family, society and the world.
