Teaming up with the Red Cross
Dear friends,
as a continuous effort to reach the children in remote Communities of Argentina with different programs, we are proud to let you know that we have teamed up the The Red Cross in Argentina to provide training and education to the children and teachers of 5 rural schools and 2 satellite classroom from a Wichi community in El Soberbio, province of Misiones. The main objective of the training sessions was to prepare the members of the school community to know how to act during an emergency. They covered the following: CPR, chocking, treating hemorrhages, wounds, and convulsions, safety and personal hygiene.
The students and teachers enjoyed the learning workshops and used the opportunity to ask questions and clarify any doubts or concerns they may have had.
This was a very positive experience overall for all involved.
Schools in Pampa del Indio, Chaco continued receiving donations of food items for their breakfast and lunch. These schools are in very vulnerable situations and the children really depend on the food items sent to provide the children with a sustainable daily breakfast and lunch -- otherwise, for some children this is the only food the will eat during the day.
A new school has been added to this plan and the children are very happy and thankful to be now having access to a nutritious meal on a daily basis.
These school are also participating in the monthly pediatric visits in which a pediatrician and dentist visit the schools and give the children regular medical check ups providing any medicine they may need.
These programs are key to making sure our children are receiving education, food and medical care. We couldn't do any of this without your help. Your monthly donation is very important to the children who receive your generous help.
Please help us give these children hope for the future and the assurance of our unwavering helping hand.
