Thanks to your collaboration, the year 2022 was INCREDIBLE. We continued supporting several projects. Here’s the compilation of what we’ve done since the summer.

Trips to Chaco and Catamarca were completed. Dental care and medical assistance were provided to the students, they delivered to each school: food, toothpaste, medicine, school supplies, elements of physical activities and entertainment, and they were given candy bags and t-shirts.

A party was held at each location and the members of Santa Clara lovingly cooked lunch and snacks for each school.

  1. Chaco: The trip to Chaco took place from August 22 to 25, they visited the following schools: 616,  676, 734 and 589. At this time they determined that there is a real need to build a classroom with a bathroom to accommodate Kindergarten students in School Anexo Lote  4.
  2. Catamarca: The trip took place from October 9 to 15, they visited the following schools: 169, 305, 479, 489, 311, 435, and 429.

Different activities were carried out during which workshops on these different skills – circus, clay, sports, bakery and pastry, hairdressing, and sewing for mothers. Clothes, bags of food, and toys were distributed. Besides offering breakfast and snacks they also provided powdered milk, rice, sugar, cocoa, alfajores, and cookies. Cleaning elements were also distributed in the different assistance centers where the Organization provides help: Florencio Varela in Buenos Aires, Los Sauces in Córdoba, Las Talitas in Tucumán, Merendero Belén in Salta, Guaraní Community in Misiones, Noccan Kani in Santa Fe.

Every morning a school is visited, on this trip Schools 297 and 845 were visited in Tala Atun, and School 817 in Paraje Taco Totorayo. Upon the arrival of the group, the directors or teachers in charge await them, the food items are downloaded along with the other miscellaneous donations and the classrooms are prepared so the medical personnel can provide medical attention to the students and adults present. At noon a lunch is prepared for everyone and gifts are distributed to the children. Before leaving, teachers and the adults in charge received instructions on hygiene, health and oral care. The day usually ends by going to buy food for the next schools to be visited the following day”.

ONGOING CAMPAIGN - “ BREAKFAST & LUNCH  FOR A CHILD”

We need US$3  per child to cover breakfast and lunch

  • Due to the need that has been generated by the lack of food in the cafeterias of our schools in Chaco (Pampa del Indio and Villa Berthet), as well as in Misiones (El Soberbio), the purchase of food for lunch as well as breakfast was implemented, we have started this campaign, which is added to "One breakfast per child" with which we aspire to complement a healthy and nutritious diet for the physical and mental health of our growing children.

To all our donors for the support they always give us, without which we would not be able to carry out any of the projects that we continue to support throughout these 17 years.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Despite the pandemic, Sumando Manos Foundation continues to work in solidarity within the areas of critical need in Argentina.

The Local Communities in Salta, Chaco and Misiones are facing many challenges of all kinds, but the most important one is access to clean and safe drinking water. There is hardly any rainfall, which brings about a drought, so the families depend on the water provided by the municipality.

With your help! Sumando Manos Foundation will purchase, deliverer and install thirteen (13) 1000 liter tanks in 13 schools we regularly sponsor. With this action, we will help at least 600 students. The schools to sponsored in this campaign are as follows: es:

  1. EX.EGB N°55-Anexo De La E.E.P N°157, Chaco, Paraje Rincon Del Zorro, La Leonesa
  2. EEP 297, Chaco, Lote 39 Colonia El Aborigen El Aguara Machagai
  3. EEP 862, Chaco, Lote 39 Colonia Aborigen, Zona Legisa Machagai
  4. EEP 395, Chaco, Paraje Pampa Ombu Machagai
  5. EEP 961 Sarapi Francisco Soria,  Chaco, Pje. Central Norte, Miraflores
  6. EEP 932, Chaco, Pje. Pozo El Algarrobo/Pje Las Margaritas, Miraflores
  7. EEP 916 Juan Jose Castelli,  Chaco, Paraje El Gramillar, Pampa Del Indio
  8. Anexo EEP 916 Tomas Acevedo, Chaco, Paraje La Gloria, Pampa Del Indio
  9. EEP 201 Soldado Victor Ofelio Ávalos, Chaco, Ruta Provincial N 4 Lote 8, Samuhu
  10. EEP 371 “Ernesto Ocampo”, Chaco, Pje. El Baño, Villa Berthet
  11. EEP 718 “Ex Combatientes De Malvinas”, Chaco, Lote 18, Villa Berthet
  12. Unidad Ed. Albergue Batalla De Salta N° 4130, Salta, Rosario De La Frontera, Paraje Sta. Maria
  13. ESC. 373/01 Guillermo Donaire, Misiones, Pje. El Boton, El Soberbio

From now on, when it rains, the tanks can be used to collect rain water and save it for future use and, in the event of a drought, the municipality can fill up the tanks and the families will avoid having to travel long distances for water.

For this reason, we are starting this campaign to raise US$ 5,200 to buy, transport, and install the tanks which will benefit more than 600 children.

We need your help to provide a solution to this sad reality.
