New School in Misiones

WE ARE BUILDING A BRAND NEW SCHOOL.

Guillermo Donaire was the president of our Sumando Manos Foundation for 12 years until his sudden death in April 2017.

He was extremely involved in giving Argentine children a better life and better survival opportunities. He had a special fondness for the School 373/01 in El Botón, Province of Misiones, Argentina, that Sumando Manos has been helping since 2006.

That's why after Guillermo’s passing, the school principal Osvaldo Bordon, proposed to the Board of Education of the Province of Misiones to OFFICIALLY rename the school: “School #373/01 Guillermo Julián Donaire".

The existing school is in a precarious situation. The wood construction is obsolete. Mold, cold, heat, rain and the exposure to the elements make it very difficult for the 40 children, ages between 5 and 13 y/o, to attend classes in such precarious conditions.

We are extremely proud of building a Brand New school that will bear Guillermo's name.
