As we've communicated in our last report, Sumando Manos carried out the purchase, delivery and installation of 200 drinking water tanks because of the great risk that 200 families with about 1000 children are facing due to being isolated without water during the intense drought that devastates the region of Gran Chaco.
After 2 months of tireless and uninterrupted work, plus an amazing fundraising campaign, the purchase, delivery and installation of the water tanks has been successfully completed.
Now, these 200 families can accumulate and consume clean drinking water for several months, even when a drough hits like it does every year. This will have an immediate impact on the health of these 1000 children that, up to now, were mostly drinking contaminated water.
It is the commitment of Sumando Manos to continue monitoring the situation of the families, support the local organizations and continue through new projects emphasaising on gender and interculturality, in order to achieve the greatest impact on the life of these rural communities.
We'd like to thank all those who have contributed to this amazing campaign and let them know Sumando Manos Foundation will continue advocating for the underpriviledged children of Argentina.
Sincerely,
Sumando Manos Foundation
