Dear Friends we want to share with you the latest that has been achieved through the Sumando Manos Foundation and thank you for the help of all the donors, teachers, directors, and compassionate people who have collaborated.
BEEKEEPING PROJECT IN MISIONES
The beekeeping project continues to move forward, which consists of installing beehives which contribute to the communities and schools in certain areas of Misiones, providing training to teachers, who will teach the older students in workshops in their villages. The project also consists of building the beehives for each location and the beekeeping specialist with all the necessary material to carry it out.
Sumando Manos provides transportation for beekeeping experts, trainers and personnel as well as the necessary supplies to install beehives such as wood for boxes, materials and tools.
SCHOOLS
In the beginning of the school year (March 2024) more and more Schools inside and outside our network have requested further assistance for the school’s cafeterias as they cannot afford to provide nutritional breakfast and lunch for the children.
Now with your help since March, month after month, Sumando Manos has provided the schools with the necessary food to cover these needs; we are also providing school supplies, first aid, donations of clothes, shoes, toys.
On the school grounds of school EEP371 located at Villa Berthet, Chaco, half shade material for the educational student’s farm project has been purchased and installed
BEARING THE FRUIT OF YOUR CHARITY
We would like to introduce William, who is in 4th grade, Yanina, who is in 5th grade, Anderson and Guadalupe, who are in their first year, all of them studding at EFA High School.
These students have graduated from the Guillermo Donaire Elementary School in El Soberbio, Misiones, and we have seen them grow and be educated, thanks to all the donations over the years.
Many thanks to the student's sponsors for making it possible for them to attend high school so that they can finish their studies: Gabriel and Eugenia Becce, Pieter Kloosterboer, Ana Magrini, Germán Previsdomini, Viviana Tenenbaum and Omar Pucciarelli..
HELPING HANDS
SANTA CLARA ORGANIZATION
Our partners have made the second trip to Misiones, in June, visiting the schools in Aldeas Yeyi, Pindo Poti, Yryapi, Caramelito, also the schools of El Botón and Colonia Pepiri. Activities were organized with the children, food, medicine, toothbrushes and toothpaste, clothes, shoes, school supplies and toys were delivered. Celebrations were shared with the entire communities.
Recreational games were played, the children enjoyed face painting and birthdays were celebrated. Breakfast, lunch and snacks were shared. Dental talks were given and fluoride was applied to all the children.
PEQUENOS PASOS
The 9th of July (Independence day) was celebrated with school events at all the assistance centers in the country. “Locro” (traditional Argentinean dish) was cooked with the cooking equipment and personnel of the Workshop centers. This was all made possible by your donations.
A story of integration and giving back to the community:
Ivan started at the Workshop Center because of Nati, his mom, who works in our kitchen. He has a disability called congenital rubella and his participation in the baking workshops with teacher Kari gave him new motivation to believe in his talent and abilities. He not only earned a place in each group, but also in our hearts. His generosity and predisposition made him a great assistant in the "Kids" Cooking workshops and now he joins a new initiative in the Early Childhood classrooms where he bakes bread with the children and transmits his knowledge with great enthusiasm.
We are happy for this new achievement!
