Meryem, who lives in a container city with her husband and two children in the earthquake zone, draws attention and calls: “Let's listen to the voices of women. Job opportunities should be increased for women affected by earthquakes and we should be more involved in social life.".
Meryem is a beneficiary of the Women, Maternal, and Child Health Center, which was implemented in cooperation with UNFPA and the Association for Social Development and Aid Mobilization(ASAM). She participates in awareness sessions on women's health held at the center and struggles to rebuild her life.
Meryem, who continues her life under difficult conditions after the earthquake, does not give up investing in her future. Meryem training in the Patient and Elderly Care Services department says that she can't wait to graduate and work. She also adds that working on her own feet and she wants to focus on this and offer a good future to her children.
Meryem emphasizes that such projects supported by UNFPA and SGDD-ASAM can improve the lives of women affected by earthquake and played an important role in their reconstruction.
Mary's call once again gives the following message to everyone: "Women's voices should be louder,
"Let our dreams come true."
