Palm Institute is growing at a rapid rate. When the new school year begins in September 2017, we anticipate even greater growth. Our short-term goal is to relocate to our permanent campus in the very near future to give our students the most convenient environment for teaching and learning. This would afford us the opportunity to provide quality liberal arts education (a missing ingredient in our higher education systems) to our students.
Palm Institute works to provide tertiary education to students in Ghana that focuses on leadership and critical thinking - two elements that are often neglected in traditional Ghanaian education. Our student body is growing and we want to ensure that we can provide training and education to as many youth as possible. The Institute is growing rapidly and the need for a permanent campus increases each year. This would also gain accreditation to offer degree programs.
Our student body has grown 200% between semester 1 and 2, and we anticipate that this growth will continue at a rapid rate. By providing a permanent campus, we can continue our commitment of providing small class sizes for all of our students, and ensure that each student has adequate resources to be successful. Additional building space ensures that our students, staff and faculty can continue to thrive within this school environment.
Providing higher education with an emphasis on critical thinking and leadership skills will enable the next generation of African leaders to provide ethical and morally sound leadership to their communities. The improvement that has occurred after one semester with ten students has been tremendous, with additional time and investment, the personal and academic growth for our students can be exponential!
