Dear Friends,
We are excited to update you about some of the recent educational project accomplishments this quarter with a sincere appreciation to the donors like you who have been continuously supporting our projects.
This quarter PHASE has successfully completed a series of teacher training programs in two schools in Nuwakot and one school in Kathmandu. Thanks to the support and contributions of many generous donors, PHASE Nepal has been able to transform teaching methods, making learning fun for young students.
The program has empowered teachers to prepare lesson plans with teaching materials and to address essential issues like menstruation health, personal hygiene, education for career building, and child rights. The training has encouraged critical thinking methods in the classroom, allowing students to participate in group discussions and to engage actively with the material. The integrated curriculum designed by the Nepal government is used to ensure that students receive a well-rounded education that is relevant to their daily lives.
Through the training, teachers have learned how to communicate effectively with all students, including those who may be struggling. Research shows that student achievement is directly tied to how teachers communicate information to students, and the program has focused on strategies and activities that create an interactive and vibrant learning environment. The training has also emphasized the importance of using an integrated curriculum to connect classroom activities with students' daily lives.
The project team has already replicated the training in another school, demonstrating the sustainability and scalability of the program. This initiative will bring visible changes to remote Himalayan schools, improving the quality of education for students and empowering teachers with the skills they need to make a lasting impact.
A participant teacher from the programme shared, “The training was very useful for me because I just heard about the integrated curriculum and internal assessment system, in this training I got opportunity to do practices and learnt about more. From new academic year of 2080, I commit to apply the teaching techniques that I have learnt, in my classroom.”
We look forward to getting your continuous support in the coming days too.
