Summary The goal is to have an enterprise accelerator targeting youths living in disadvantageous communities in rural Tanzania, specifically the Arusha region which is structured in such a way that youths are given access to basic vocational, business management and ICT skills which can be quickly converted into managing their ventures for unemployment reduction. The youth are also provided with startup kits while receiving business training through a social enterprise accelerator.
In some rural areas of Tanzania, it is observed that many youths are illiterate, half-literate and unemployed; for them, the poverty cycle is endless. There is no reliable source of income at the family level that can enable them to remain in schools and enjoy the fruits of education; youths have no income to support their families; lack of knowledge on how to run a business; and lack of capital to start a business. This project will solve the problem through the enterprise accelerator targeting youths living in disadvantageous communities in rural Tanzania which are structured in such a way that youths are given access to basic vocational, business management and ICT skills which can quickly be converted into establishing, managing and running of ventures for unemployment reduction. The youth are also provided with startup kits while receiving mentoring and grooming through a social enterprise accelerator.
The long term impact of this project is to solve this problem; where youth will be trained and given start-up kits to enable them to start and run their ventures, through that they they will own and manage their businesses to enable them to live their own life as well as helping some necessitate in their homes, helping some necessities at their home families will reduce burden to children that have been forced to work so that to substitute income at family level which is the main problem
