The importance of girls education

By maria elena di fazio | International Development

Many people are still living jobless and inhumane lives as a result of past lockdowns announced by the government to prevent the outbreak of the Corona epidemic. One such example is the family of Bijoy and his wife Latika , a resident of Behara (Kawra) Para in Nagar Srirampur village of Paikgachha upazila of Khulna district. Being extremely poor, Latika r has been living with her husband and children at her father's house at the present address for a long time. Latika's husband used to sell fish fry in the villages. Latika was busy with domestic work. Suddenly, Latika's husband stopped working due to the announcement of lockdown. Lack of money comes down to the world. Latika  came to a stage and broke down mentally. Suddenly one day Latika  met Sadhana , teacher of Nasirpur Dalit School. When Sadhana asked Latika  about her children's education, Latika said the problem of her family. She said her husband was unemployed. After listening to everything, teacher  advised to Latika for self-employmen t. She (Teacher) told her (Lotika) that now women are able to self relaint by doing different things at home through self-employment and alleviating their suffering. She (Teacher) strengthened the morale of the Latika through various more examples and encouraged her to work inside. Encouraged by Sadhana Das, Latika  started sewing Nakshi Kantha from all the other houses in the village. Latika  is very good at sewing so she changed her family in a few days. She is now able to meet the expenses of her family and the needs of her children by sewing. Meanwhile, her husband immediately brought back the prosperity of the family by doing odd jobs. Latika  thanked the Dalit organization because she felt that she was encouraged to work for the Dalit and was able to bring back her family's prosperity through self-employment.
