Yayasan INFEST, in collaboration with Nusantara Organik, is preparing tree and crop seedlings for distribution in 2026. These seedlings will be distributed to individual members of Forest Farmer Groups (Kelompok Petani Hutan/KPH) who are actively involved in forest restoration and agroforestry initiatives across several villages.
The seedlings to be distributed include the following categories:
These plant species will be allocated to different land-use zones based on their ecological and productive functions. Farmers managing agroforestry areas will receive long-term production crops, fruit trees, and water conservation species to support both livelihoods and ecosystem restoration. Meanwhile, conservation and wildlife habitat areas will be planted with fruit trees as food sources for endemic wildlife, along with water conservation species and hardwood timber trees to strengthen habitat quality and ecological resilience.
This planting strategy is designed to balance ecological restoration, biodiversity protection, and sustainable community livelihoods across restored forest landscapes.
