Across many regions of Indonesia, floods are becoming more frequent and destructive. Deforestation and land degradation have weakened the natural systems that once protected communities from heavy rainfall and water runoff.
Forests are our first line of defense.
Through the Plant 1,000,000 Trees in Indonesia Forest initiative, we are restoring forest cover to help stabilize soil, absorb rainwater, and protect river systems. Every tree planted strengthens nature’s ability to reduce flood risks while restoring balance to the ecosystem.
This initiative helps to:
Reduce surface runoff and soil erosion
Improve water absorption and watershed protection
Restore degraded land with long-term impact
Support communities living in flood-prone areas
Each tree is more than a seedling—it is a natural shield that protects homes, livelihoods, and futures.
Stand with communities on the front lines of climate impact.

Together, we can strengthen nature’s defenses and build safer, more resilient landscapes—one tree at a time.
