Forests sustain life. They regulate water systems, protect biodiversity, stabilize the climate, and support millions of rural families who depend on the land for survival. Yet when forests are degraded, communities are often the first to feel the impact—through declining soil fertility, reduced harvests, and economic instability.
At the same time, conservation cannot succeed without the active participation of local communities.
Forests for People means ensuring that forest landscapes provide sustainable livelihoods—through agroforestry, Liberica coffee cultivation under shade trees, integrated livestock systems, and organic fertilizer production. These initiatives allow farmers to increase income while maintaining tree cover and ecological balance.
People for Forests means empowering communities to become stewards of restoration. Through participatory village planning, strengthened farmer groups, and dedicated conservation zones separate from productive land, local residents lead the protection of biodiversity and watershed areas.
This reciprocal relationship creates a sustainable cycle:
Healthy forests support livelihoods →
Stable livelihoods reduce pressure on forests →
Communities protect ecosystems →
Forests thrive for future generations.
Support forest communities.
Invest in sustainable landscapes.
Build a future where forests and people grow stronger together.
Because when forests serve people—and people protect forests—sustainability becomes lasting.
