Tree planting in Senegal rural's Schools

Trees Distribution in Schools
Trees Distribution in Schools

CREATE! reforestation campaign impacts several schools each year.

The choice of these schools is related to the fact that there were almost no trees, the teachers organize the tree planting. Each tree is given to a group of students who ensure the maintenance, monitoring, and watering of the trees. These latter would help the students to have shades where they could stay during the break time.

Each year many schools receive plants and here are some illustrations:

1: In the first illustration we have the installation of the plants by the CREATE! team and the school's environmental unit

2: This immortalization marks the partnership between CREATE! and the educational structures.  Received by the students and teachers, the trees are in good hands and can have an impact on the local level.

3: Aware of the environmental and health improvement that these trees can provide in the future, these actors show feelings of contribution to the mitigation that these trees can impact later.

4: To set the tone, the teacher takes action by giving an example of planting trees in front of the fence of the school to instill in young students the protection and improvement of biodiversity.
