"Little actions have a big impact"

By Jean Damascene UWIZEYIMANA | Project Leader

Dear Patrons,

It is our honor and pleasure to have you as partners, supporters and donors. On behalf of Rwandan Youth Development and Voluntary Organization, I am very happy to take this opportunity to thank you very much for all the support that you have provided so far for our Rwanda forestation project and RWAYDAVO is participating in GlobalGiving's Little by Little campaign. No matter what challenges we face, positive change is possible when we all come together.Until Friday this week, little acts of kindness will have an extra BIG impact with an additional 50% match from @GlobalGiving on all online donations up to $50. Help us to Plant 20,000 Trees In Northern Rwanda and maintain them.

In this report, we are sharing with you, the progress of saplings planted so far and how they are growing, we are also sharing with you the very recent photos (See attached recent photos showing how they are growing).

The saplings we have planted are Citrons, Orange, passion fruits, and Grevillea and all are growing very well. I would like also to share with you that, we have started regular maintenance of the saplings and the land. This activity includes pruning the area properly in order to keep the trees healthy and strong, we also do watering during the dry season. As soil compaction prevents water and oxygen from infiltrating the tree’s roots, we always make sure that the soil is not compacted. We are also doing mulch about 6 inches from the base of the tree so that we cannot damage our tree roots (These photos were taken after all those maintenance activities).

To keep doing regular maintenance activities with regular funds, we request you to donate generously to our project so that we can keep working and achieve our goals. You could also consider making a monthly recurring donation for our project, which will help us with our ongoing work.  The link for the monthly recurring donation is mentioned below in the report.

We thank you for everything that you have done for our project, and we look forward to your continued support.

Thanks and Best Regards.

Jean Damascene Uwizeyimana

RWAYDAVO President
