GivingTuesday Starts Tomorrow

By Jean Damascene Uwizeyimana | Project Leader

Dear Patrons,

Did you know that Giving Tuesday, the largest GlobalGiving day of the year, is in tomorrow? We're really excited to be a part of this worldwide event and want to invite you to join us! Giving Tuesday often described as a global day of giving or a global generosity movement, is held each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.

Rwandan Youth Development and Voluntary Organization (RWAYDAVO) would request support to plant additional 8000 trees on land five. We would like also to let you know that after planting trees on land five we will start the preparation of the land donated by the Rulindo district to be planted by RWAYDAVO. On this land, around 10,000 trees will be planted.

As we completed tree planting for land 5, the next step will be to use the BRC brand fence, to protect the land in which the trees are planted from animals like goats, cows, and sheep, as well as from the disturbances caused by the humans.

After all these activities, we will be doing maintenance. The maintenance will include pruning the area properly to keep the trees healthy and strong, Water is food for our trees and plants – that’s why effective watering is one of the most important ways to care for and maintain, so watering might be needed during the dry season. Also. as the soil compaction prevents water and oxygen from infiltrating the tree’s roots, we will make sure that the soil is not compacted. We will be doing mulch about 6 inches from the base of your tree so that we cannot damage our tree roots.
We wish and hope that through this project, we will be able to make a significant impact
in the lives of the people in the community, and instill the importance of trees in the minds
of the people so that they take care of them on an ongoing basis.

I once again like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support and donations that
you have made for our project, and we look forward to your continued support in the
coming days.

If you wish to start a monthly recurring donation for our project to support our ongoing work,
please feel free to start a monthly recurring donation using the link provided in the link section.

With Best Regards,
Jean Damascene Uwizeyimana
RWAYDAVO President
