Dear Patrons,
We are pleased to share an important update on our reforestation efforts in Northern Rwanda. Thanks to your unwavering support, our project “Plant 40,000 Trees in Northern Rwanda” has successfully achieved its goal—restoring degraded land, creating local employment, and strengthening climate resilience across multiple sites.
As part of our ongoing care, our field teams are now conducting pruning and maintenance activities to ensure the young trees continue to grow strong and healthy. Through careful pruning, weeding, and soil management, we are helping the trees develop sturdy stems, balanced canopies, and increased resistance to pests and drought. These efforts are key to ensuring long-term forest sustainability.
We are also delighted to share recent progress from Land 5, where pruning is actively underway—see attached photoscapturing our team’s dedicated work and the remarkable growth of the trees.
Building on this success, we are proud to announce the launch of our new initiative: “Plant 50,000 Trees in Northern Rwanda.” This next phase will expand our reforestation program to new areas, further increasing forest cover, enhancing biodiversity, and improving community livelihoods. Your continued contributions will directly support this new project, helping us sustain the momentum and deepen our environmental impact.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your trust and partnership. Together, we are not just planting trees—we are nurturing life, restoring hope, and building a greener, more resilient future for Rwanda and beyond.
With sincere gratitude,
Jean Damascene Uwizeyimana
President, RWAYDAVO
