We at CHHASE thanking you for your generous donation to plant trees in schools and distribute plants to children to plant at their homes and take care of them. Without Your support, it was not possible for us to provide plants  to our school childrenand cultivate habit of planting and caring in their life. You made big impact on our environment. This program helped us to be best non profit and transparent. In recent COVID-19 time, With generous supporters like you,  we are standing with our community and doing relief to our children, their parents and informal sector workers.

With generous contribution from donor’s like you, we have distributed Rice, dhall, cooking oil .atta, suji, condiments, soap, mask, gloves and sanitizers to 1680 families, who are worst hit by COVID-19 lockdowns. we have also provided ration kits to 200 orphaned children guardian to look after well the children. This is a timely support to informal sector workers to save them from hunger.

With the help of donor’s like you, through community kitchens, we have so far provided 175000+ Meals to poor wage workers, agricultural labors, children and lonely elders and have to continue till the end of spreading of COVID-19. This provision play key role to stop the starvation and give confidence that there is someone to help them in critical COVID-19 crisis.

OUR SUCCESS WITH YOUR SUPPORT: 

EDUCATION

CHHASE first project was Child labor eradication in Tiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu in May,2004. We started our child labor schools with 147 Tribal children in 3 villages and 36 Alternative and innovative education Centers. Today Tiruvallur district is child labor less.

CHHASE has educated 20000+ drop-out, out of school children and mainstreamed in formal schools. Tiruvallur district is now child labor eradicated district because of your support, we have abolished child labor in tiruvallur distrist.

NowCHHASE is implementing after school education program, to enhance the children’s learning capacity. Along with their after school education the under privileged children, who study in private schools get school kits, fee, clothing etc. Now after covid 19, we have povided 550 school bags & uniforms were distributed. Differently abled children also get tricycles, specs and hearing aids. CHHASE has provided 32 tricycle, 7 specs and 12 hearing aids till to date.

Apart from the above activities, all children from our after school centers get daily refreshment in the evening. Tribal children are provided with dinner & clothes to wear.

We have not forgotten our orphan children, who are looked after by their grandmothers and custodians, get food groceries, clothing, toiletries and other necessary items.

We are providing higher education scholarships to rural poor youth to go to high schools and colleges with fee, mess bill, hostel fee, transport etc.              

TREE PLANTING

Global warming is today’s biggest problem which we are facing now. To reduce the global warming, CHHASE started tree planting and awareness program in schools, planting in waste lands and in schools.

We could succeed in awareness raising, distribution & planting 1lakh and 89 thousand plants till today. We are planning to plant 5 lakh plants by 2025.

DAY CARE TO ELDERLY 

CHHASE have a soft corner towards neglected elders, Now 52 elderly persons are benefited by way of mid-day meal, Clothes, bed sheets, towels, hair oil, soaps and medical care. Because of this program, these elders are passing their last moments of their life without any suffering. They get boiled rice, sambar, Rasam, appalalm, vegetable curries, eggs, curd,fruit etc.

MONTHLY FOOD GROCERIES TO NEGLECTED ELDERS

CHHASE has identified 78 poor neglected poor women in our project area where we are unable to open a elderly care centre. We came to know that they are able to cook themselves. Hence we started providing monthly food groceries at their door steps. We have included 9 disabled persons, 7 single male above 75 years and 62 women aging 65 and above. With this sympathetic act, they are now well and passing their last moments without starvation.

TRAININGS TO YOUTH AND WOMEN 

The logical framework for the program is to motivate Rural Youth, women and thereby have multiple, spread effect, through of knowledge in the rural society, through youth participation in training courses under project based on the local needs of the young persons. The program aims at :

                a)            Developing leadership and entrepreneurial quality among all cross section of youth through vocational/technical training program envisaged in this program, so that youth can act as focal point of dissemination of knowledge in their own area of activity.

                b)            Developing among non-student and rural youth, such aptitude and skills which will enable them to function better as productive citizen.

                c)            Preventing migration of rural youth to cities by enabling the rural youth to realize that agriculture and agriculture related services are as rewarding occupations as these in urban areas.

                d)            Creating new skills among rural youth through which villages can become self-reliant.

                e)            Inspiring youth to set up own production/servicing enterprises in their own/rural areas.

                f)             Inspiring young entrepreneurs learn modern techniques with a view to adopting them for improvement of their end result.

CHHASE VTC is providing the following trainings : Computer basics, Tally ERP.9, Animation & Multimedia, Hardware Maintenance, DTP, Computer teacher training, Medical lab.technician, Tailoring, Embroidery, Artificial jewelry, Beautician, Capacity building & Leadership, Mentoring program, Village need based trainings.

Trainings are great opportunity to under privileged youth and women to start their own business or to get a job to come out of poverty.

So far, CHHASE has trained 12000+ youth, women and school children in different skill trainings, capacity building, leadership, personality development and village need based trainings.

CHHASE also provided 250+ Free tailoring machines and 15 embroidery cots, 50 grants to start vegetable & fruit vending to poor women to start their own business to come out of poverty. 

Future plans 

1. CHHASE plans to provide higher education scholarship to 400 students ( schools & colleges).

2. To reach out to 5 lakh planting by 2025.

3. Train 20000 youth in various skills by the year 2025.

4. Provision of monthly groceries to 300 neglected elderly women, leper cure and disabled persons.

5. Construction of old age home for 100 neglected elders.

We Have Been Getting your Valuable Generous support and we are Thankful to you from our Heart. We have attached our activity report for the year 2021-2022 for your review.

We feel very happy that CHHASE India completed successful 21 years with  “May all live healthy and happy”and the organization has made its identity as a leading and highly credible organization.

CHHASE, like every year, has celebrated its Foundation Day on 16th November 2022 this year. On this occasion, the activists of the CHHASE organization celebrated this big bash with Helpless street and slum children.
On the occasion of the Foundation Day, Community health housing and social education distributed blankets to 300 poor families residing roadside so that they can protect themselves from the shivering cold. Similarly, a workshop was organized concerning Skill development. After the completion of the workshop, a rally was held in which women delivered awareness message for the prevention of violence against women to the society. In this series, 100 fruit trees were planted in a village in kadambathur block where the participants took oath to keep trees conserved.

This Foundation Day was celebrated 10 places where almost 750 beneficiaries including women, girls, men and children enjoyed in the celebrations. The celebration also had importance as it was the Successful 21 years of Community health housing and social education-India.

Community health housing and social education in these 21 years, has worked for more than one lakh marginalized and deprived people of 400 villages. In order to make them self-reliant and empowered, the organization has put its significant efforts through several programs as Neglected elder care, vocational education, women empowerment, agricultural development, conservation of environment, educational development and sustainable livelihood & skill development and the organization still keeps putting its efforts for the same.

It is the guidance of partners and the generous donations of all respectable donors that bring positive energy to us due to which our activists are always ready to put themselves into action with dedication and devotion for the development and empowerment of the deprived community. We hope that we will be getting your valuable support and guidance in the future.

Today, whenever Community health housing and social education faces any problem whether it is an earthquake or flood, COVID-19, education, poverty, unemployment or violence against women, then the organization immediately attempts to resolve the problem and tries hard to make its attempts successful. Greetings from CHHASE India !

With your support, we have started our tree planting program since 2005 onwards. So far, we have planted 1lakh 80thousand trees. This could happen because of your generous donation to our charity.

Benefits of tree plantingTrees:

Give off oxygen that we need to breathe. Trees reduce the amount of storm water runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways and may reduce the effects of flooding. Many species of wildlife depend on trees for habitat. Trees provide food, protection, and homes for many birds and mammals.

Trees create jobs, provide flowers, fruit, fodder and fuel to communities and living creatures, offer shade to nomads and their livestock, give shelter to birds and animals, prevent soil erosion and flooding, improve water catchment, generate oxygen, reduce pollution and benefit posterity while decarbonisin g the atmosphere.

We are thankful for you to help to provide 200 tribal and under privileged children with new dresses to keep them hygiene and increase their confidence and 300 families were provided ration kits June,2022 to maintain their families without starvation. We are providing monthly food groceries to 78 neglected elders, care & support to 57 neglected elders. 550 underprivileged children were provided with school bags, note books, pen, pencil, eraser etc. This provision will keep our children without dropout.

And also, we are thankful for our donors, who gave opportunity to work for Covid Relief work. With your donations we are feeding the hungry homeless, elders, daily wage labors by donating food and provisions kits. The key beneficiaries in this group are Rural poor, daily wage workers, slum dwellers, auto drivers, construction labor, labor from market yards and other locations. Relief Support included 5 Kg Rice, 1Kg Sugar, 1kg Salt, 2 Ltr Oil, 2 KG Atta, 2 Kg Dal, 2 Soaps,2 washing soaps,1/2 kg tamarind, other condiments, Hand wash, Masks, Sanitizers in equivalent of Rs.2750.
