Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting this project to help smallholder farmers in Nigeria plant and grow cashew trees. Your support gives farmers the tools, knowledge, and resources they need to build sustainable livelihoods and strengthen their communities.
Many rural farmers depend on seasonal crops with unstable prices, limiting income and food security. Cashew, a high-demand export crop, is under-cultivated because most farmers cannot afford seedlings, tools, or technical guidance. Without intervention, families miss out on long-term income opportunities that can transform their economic future.
This project provides cashew seedlings, basic tools, and training in planting and orchard maintenance. Farmers learn how to establish productive cashew trees that can yield nuts for local and export markets. By diversifying crops and securing long-term harvests, farmers can increase income, improve food security, and reduce poverty in their communities.
Over time, mature cashew orchards offer decades of steady harvests, improve soil quality, and create jobs for youth and women. With your support, these farms can strengthen rural economies, promote agricultural sustainability, and help families build lasting resilience against economic shocks.
At this stage, no donations have been received yet, but we remain hopeful that with donor support, we can help farmers plant and grow trees that will benefit generations to come.
With thanks,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
