Trees Grow with Team Work!

Team is the key to success! And it is no different with growing rainforest trees. So much work and collaboration goes into every single tree you sponsor. That's why we include production costs and follow up management and labor icosts for four full years after we plant your trees. Follow up care creates jobs for the community while insuring long term robust growth rates. Your tree sponsorships support our team and regenerate not only forests but also communities.

Meet an important member of our Tree Team, Costa Rican, Luis. He has worked with our organization since its inception in 2009 and even before. Luis regularly delivers truckloads of fertile soil compost made by our women's group for use in our tree nurseries. We purchase these sacks of soil from  the women which gives them a regular income easily made in their own backyards from common waste materials on their farms. Luis picks up the dirt from each of the participating ladies and transports to our nurseries for use in filling the tree bags.

Luis is also an expert on tree health at all stages and delivers supplies like unfiltered molasses for spraying on the baby trees to keep them green and healthy. The molasses coats the leaves and helps keep the bugs away because they get sugar drunk. It really works and its an organic solution to avoid the use of harmful pesticides.

Luis transports workers to the various 31 fdifferent family farms participating with our organization. Because our workers are campesinos and most of them do not have their own vehicle, Luis' s role as a safe and responsible truck driver is incredibly important and useful. Plus, he is good at checking out the trees themselves making sure that the crews are doing an excellent job keeping vegetation and vines chopped and trees well tended.

Thank you Sponsors! And Thank you Luis! We cannot save the rainforest without YOU!
