Plant the seeds of tomorrow for an Orphan child

We are Sorry to report that little has changed since our last report where our concern was as to how the Hunger issue is affecting all aspects of the life of Likulezi.......if hungry how can you function! However somehow or other Likulezi still functions as well as possible in these difficult times....and Hope lives on.!. Some assistance with food relief has come in , but unfortunately its selective....organisations giving to their own beneficiaries, churches to their own congregation, and even so not enough. Africa Aware - Likulezi has a small Crisis fund which it will now be forced to use since there is no forthcoming assistance  ...the problem is that even giving the bare necessities of food relief  the fund will only last for 2 months and the harvest is a long way away...April 2025 !!......however we feel that even giving that  little will ignite some Hope and give some comfort to our struggling families.

But as we have said...Likulezi functions and life goes on. Unfortunately we have lost some of our students due to dropping out and others have migrated to Mozambique in search of food. This is a sad situation for these students to have their education interrupted and maybe lost forever. The  loss is not only theirs  but also  their families and  the country of Malawi.! Those who are managing are continuing their education and using the Libraries......food for the soul if not the body! Several Trainings have been held during the last few months with quite a good attendance considering the situation. However the resilience of these people is amazing and we will not lose the Hope that the situation might improve in the coming months if the government and the  international community intervene to save a worsening situation as the months go by.
