Keeping Hope alive!
January is rest time for the Likulezi Project…no trainings and only essential services kept going….why is this? Why because its planting time…the most important time of the year and although the Project rests the volunteers and beneficiaries don’t! It is with hope in their hearts after 2 horrendous years without harvests that all our people are out there working non stop from morning until night.
With the” hope”, now safely in the ground, the project resumed its work in February! Trainings resumed with the orphan Guardians, the tree nursery revamped, orphans back to school, the chess club in action etc. Of course the Library didn’t close as the students needed to come to study . So, the year of 2025 started well but in this poor rural area, the most important time is harvest time, all the hopes and dreams are dependant on that for the year ahead….and we wait in hope.
