Update - impact for the longterm!

By Karyn Mikkelsen-Tillet | Global Director Development & Communication

Dear support of PN Cambodia,

Sharing with you an update of our program in Cambodia -

Passerelles Numériques Cambodia — Program Update

Passerelles Numériques Cambodia (PNC) continues to make meaningful strides in expanding access to quality digital education for underprivileged youth. In January 2025, PNC welcomed 77 new students — 40 of them women — from underserved and rural backgrounds, reflecting the organization's strong commitment to gender equity in a country where women represent only around 10% of the tech workforce. Building on this momentum, PNC grew its intake to 100 students in 2026 and reintroduced its System, Network Administration, and Cybersecurity (SNA) major, broadening the career pathways available to graduates.

On February 22, 2025, PNC held a long-awaited graduation ceremony honoring the Classes of 2022, 2023, and 2024 — the first such celebration in over three years. Nearly 600 attendees gathered, including government officials, partner companies, families, and alumni, marking a powerful moment of recognition for years of dedication and hard work.

Employment outcomes for the Class of 2025 have been strong. Nearly 78% of students completed internships with 28 partner companies, while over 20% moved directly into employment. Within two months of completing their internships, 92% of graduates had secured jobs — earning an average of USD 320 per month in roles spanning frontend, backend, full-stack, mobile development, QA, and UI/UX design. A Career and Education Fair in December 2024, featuring 20 company booths and career development workshops, helped students make that final transition into the workforce with confidence.

PNC remains a vital bridge between Cambodia's underserved youth and the country's growing digital economy — demonstrating that with the right support, students from any background can build lasting careers in tech.

Thank you and we hope you continue to support our mission as we continue to offer access to quality education to sustainably stop the cycle of poverty for so many youth in Cambodia.

In solidarity,

The team at PN
