Bakhdida Organization for Youth Empowerment to recruit and train 20 mothers to play with 1600 Street Children over a month. This project will design an interactive board game for Mosul Street Children that teaches some of what they are missing due to having no access to any educational facility or source, in addition, it will also provide these Mosul children with the opportunity to experience the unconditional love that they missed due to not having a mother since their early childhood.
There are currently about five million Orphans in Iraq according to the United Nation Estimate, from which a large proportion are street children. Many of these children for whom the street has become home and/or their source of livelihood never experienced having a mother and/or unconditional love from a caregiver. This project will reach the hearts of 16000 Iraqi Children in different areas of Mosel with the largest number of street children.
This project will recruit local mothers for a month to teach and care for 1600 street children in Mosul, Iraq. the 20 recruited mothers will be selected based on their ability to play and care for these children with passion, and love. in addition, the project will design an educational game for specific for street children and help them have an alternative for playing with sand and rocks. the game will have its components designed considering the needed knowledge and the children age group.
The project will provide a positive wave of positive emotions to community children who have seen nothing but war and destruction. their attitude will believe this project will make the children less violent when they grow up and hopefully become contributing citizens for their community and the world.
