This project supports tribal children and needy families with nutritious food and educational support. In India, live seems back to normal but many children are still suffering from the fallout of the pandemic. Many show symptoms of malnutrition. Especially in tribal areas and slums, people could not afford food rich in vitamins and proteins. The children are bearing the consequenses, they are not growing properly and in school their learning gaps are huge.
The poor communities in India are facing terrible challenges even after the Covid pandemic. Daily wage earners, as most of them are, were deprived of earning opportunities. Tribal and other poorest communities could hardly afford to buy food let alone protein rich food for their children. Many went with just one meal a day for months. Now children are showing symptoms of malnourishment. And they have huge gaps in learning achievements.
The project will support children and families in need with nutricious food supplies and support their educational needs.
Children will regain weight and strength and will be able to continue their schooling. With no support, many of them would end up in child labor, trafficking or child marriage.
