Most People especially the youths and married women of Makindye municipality in Uganda live under abject poverty due to lack of practical skills for future self-sustenance. They are also ignorant about adolescent sexual and reproductive health issues. Some are involved in small scale businesses in order to earn a living hence creating an ever needy and disadvantaged syndrome among the community. The meager incomes scarcely live them with nothing to save and therefore low rates of investment.
The vulnerable youths, women and persons with disabilities will be trained and will be equipped with education and vocation skills which we expect to lead them to employing themselves. The redundancy of the beneficiaries in the area will be reduced since a big percentage is expected to be engaged in productive work.
