The Timelist group plans to expand our Curriculum to a Correspondence Course for incarcerated Californians, along with providing workshops and support groups for families to provide hope and preparation for a successful reentry.
California's prisons do not provide adequate preparation or support to inmates, most of whom will eventually re-enter society. The Timelist Group, founded by formerly incarcerated Californians, has been providing inmate services without any specific operational support.
Additional financial support will allow us to expand the reach of our curriculum and modify it to a correspondence course, which is desperately needed during COVID-19 while we are unable to visit prisons. This project will provide in-prison support to 200 inmates who will be better prepared for re-entry upon release. It also provides a pre-release connection to our services.
The long term impact of this program is to reduce recidivism by educating returning citizens with soft and hard skills to acquire employment and maintain healthy relationships Support from peers who have successfully transitioned back into society utilizing the helper therapy and coaching for empowerment.
