The new school year is underway in Kenya! This is always a exciting time of year when our teaching team is seeing enthusiastic young learners running into the school grounds, ready for a fun year of learning. Three years ago, when this school was first opening, our social worker had to go door-to-door, recruiting children and gently trying to persuade parents that it was important for their children's development for them to be enrolled in school. Fast forward to today, the community is buzzing from the excitement of the school and parents are regularly showing up to enroll their children.
