Hello to our amazing supportive family around the world!
As you might remember from a previous report that 29 primary schools that has 9,000 children registered was provided a borehole by UK Aid around 14 years ago, these boreholes are old and manual and have costed rather a lot of donated funds to keep active.
However the worst part is the effort to get just a small amount of water out of them, often 3-4 children per class go to the borehole and pump for around 25 minutes to get just over 3 litres of water for the class food. We didn't initially see any way around this until the recent solar tests and with a new solar panel, invertor and switch we have been able to use solar power to active the borehole and draw water from the ground at 1 of the 28 schools.
It is possible but sadly it costs $3,213 per borehole so this is now our next active target! Let's fundraise toogether and get more water available to the school, children and community with offgrid power.
