Hi Friends,
Project Soar is sending gratitude to you, for your continued support.
Today, we’re excited to tell you more about one of our proudest initiatives to end period poverty in Morocco! This year, our Soar Girls led the BIGGER Health Movement, advancing menstrual health and hygiene rights nationwide. Together, they reached more than 7,900 beneficiaries and engaged nearly 9,000 community members through 186 dialogues about periods, dignity, and girls’ rights; breaking taboos and normalizing conversations that were once seen as uncomfortable.
Through this inspiring movement, over 2,000 reusable menstrual kits were distributed, 300+ workshops were delivered, and 300+ girl advocates were trained to carry the message forward. Our advocacy also reached 22 schools, impacting more than 700 girls and 100 boys, ensuring that menstrual health education is both inclusive and transformative.
But we didn’t stop there, Soar Girls took their voices beyond their local communities, travelling to the capital Rabat to meet with key stakeholders and UN agencies, and appearing on national television and radio to amplify their message and raise awareness.
One of the girl advocates shared:
“Before this program, I felt ashamed and thought menstruation was a taboo. Now I can speak about it freely, understand my rights, and help other girls.”
What our Soar Girls have achieved so far is a true game changer. They are creating lasting impact and transforming the narrative, turning what was once a taboo into a topic of pride and open discussion. Even though this project is coming to an end, the seeds we’ve planted will continue to grow inspiring change and empowering future generations long after.
We thank you for always standing with our cause and supporting us throughout this mission. Your continued generosity helps us keep making a difference, and we are deeply grateful to have you in our community.
With gratitude,
The Project Soar Team
