By Abraham Z. Kalili | Project Manager
Last year, you supported our project "Prevention of Teenage Pregnancy and Child Marriage" and your support enable us raised awareness on the consequences of teenage pregnancy and child marriage in Liberia. Furthermore, we launched our "Girls Power" mentorship program. This initiative is currently ongoing and we can now see the momentum from our girls.
First, we met with the girls parents, informed them about the program objectives and seek their involvement. We have gained support from these parents and their full involvement.
The program meet twice a week and a trained mentors walk the girls through our well developed curriculum that covers various topics.
The program run for six months and will climax with graduation ceremony to allow the girls demonstrate what they have learned over the months.
We will continue to share update with you to keep you informed of what is happening at YDCA.
Thank you for your support and dedication to supporting our mission.
