Three-Month Project Report

By Johannes Shikuloh | Project Leader

During the three months following the previous reporting period, the project continued maintaining its commitment to vulnerable students and communities despite significant financial limitations. During this reporting period, the project did not receive funding to implement direct student-support activities such as printing, photocopying, transportation, or other forms of assistance previously provided to beneficiaries.

The absence of funding affected the project's ability to provide the same level of direct support to students. Nevertheless, the project team remained engaged with the community and continued working to strengthen awareness, preparedness, and community responsibility.

Particular attention during the reporting period was given to community preparedness ahead of the anticipated flooding period. During the early months of November and December, community members were engaged and encouraged to prepare themselves, their families, and their households for possible flooding and related risks.

The community was motivated to become champions of their own safety and the safety of their families. Through engagement and awareness, community members were encouraged to take proactive responsibility for identifying potential risks, preparing in advance, protecting vulnerable household members, and sharing safety information within their communities.

Although the lack of funding limited the implementation of the project's planned student-support activities, the team continued using available opportunities and community networks to maintain engagement and promote resilience among vulnerable families.

The project continues to face a significant need for financial resources. The demand for support remains high, particularly among disadvantaged and orphaned students who face difficulties meeting basic educational costs. Without adequate funding, the project cannot reach all students who require assistance with study materials, printing and photocopying, transportation, and other educational needs.

Going forward, the project team will continue strengthening fundraising efforts and seeking partnerships with individuals, organizations, institutions, and other stakeholders who can contribute towards supporting vulnerable students. The project also intends to maintain community engagement and explore practical ways of continuing its activities while resources remain limited.

The project believes that supporting vulnerable students is an investment in their education, dignity, and future opportunities. Continued assistance can help students remain engaged in their studies and overcome some of the financial barriers that threaten their educational progress.

As we enter the next reporting period, we hope to mobilize additional resources that will allow the project to resume and expand direct support to more needy students. We remain grateful to GlobalGiving, our donors, supporters, volunteers, and community members for their continued interest in the project and for believing in the potential of vulnerable students.
