SEED would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our donors and partners whose generosity continues to make lasting change in communities across Madagascar. Your support has already transformed countless lives through improved education, health, and infrastructure. Today, we are reaching out once more to invite you to join us in an exciting and vital new project; the improvement of facilities at Volobe Sud Primary School.
Currently, the school serves 292 students with only five teachers who share just two overcrowded classrooms. The existing building is in urgent need of repair, and the lack of functioning latrines, handwashing facilities, and a reliable water source poses significant health and safety risks for both students and staff.
To address these challenges, SEED plans to renovate the existing structure and construct a new, fully furnished three-classroom building complete with attached teacher accommodation. The project will also include the repair of two existing latrines and the construction of four new gender-segregated VIP latrines, incorporating a Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) facility to support girls’ attendance and wellbeing. Additionally, we will install a 10,000-litre rainwater harvesting system equipped with drinking and handwashing stations, ensuring access to safe water year-round.
Preparations are planned to begin in January 2026, with full construction commencing in February.
Your continued support will be essential in bringing this project to life. Together, we can create a safe, inclusive, and sustainable learning environment for every child at Volobe Sud Primary School; empowering the next generation to learn, grow, and thrive.
Thank you for standing with SEED and the community of Volobe Sud as we build a brighter future.
