We are going to have a project in July 2017 to make feeding boxes and road signs for Tai O stray cats.
Our goal is to build 4 feeding boxes and road signs in Tai O. We would like to encourage Tai O residents or volunteers to work together to build feeding boxes and road signs to improve quality for stray cats in the community.
The intention of this project is to let more people to understand stray animals (cats, dogs, etc.) need to be respected and loved; it is because they are also part of the community. More than that, these beautiful and colorful feeding boxes and road signs can be used to beautify the environment of Tai O.
This project is needed because existing wooden feeding boxes are old and full of mold. This is time to replace them with waterproof board to make them last longer; besides, the design of feeding boxes includes some spaces for stray cats for resting or sleeping. For the road signs, the purpose is to list some guidelines for tourists or residents to tell them how to treat stray cats such as no flashlight, no human food, keep quiet, etc.
The budget for this project is about USD 1,000
1. Feeding box: USD 130 x 4 = USD 520
2. Road sign: USD 80 x 4 = USD 320
3. Courier/freight charge: USD 70
4. Paint and miscellaneous: USD 90
