Dear Donors,
This quarter, we're excited to bring you news of our Yale knowledge partnership. We are collaborating with a team from the Yale School of Management’s Global Social Entrepreneurship (GSE) Program.
Using their expertise, the team is designing a forward-looking and dynamic financial model of maintenance operations to help Project Maji understand key levers that affect financial sustainability. Guided by our data, the students are also exploring results-based financing and other mechanisms that could help close operational funding gaps. To ensure a robust approach to this undertaking, the Yale GSE team are conducting interviews, desk research, and on-the-ground field observation. In March, the Yale GSE team travelled to Kenya to visit out sites and warehouse to gain a better understanding of our communities and operations.
We are grateful to the Yale GSE team for their curiosity, energy, and thoughtful engagement. Knowledge partnerships like this help us learn, adapt, and ultimately scale our impact.
We look forward to continuing this collaboration in the months ahead and sharing more about the insights that emerge from this work.
Even as we continue to explore blended finance models, donations like yours play a crucial role in our mission to end water poverty. As always, we would like to thank you all for your support and contributions to our organisation.
Wishing you the best,
The Project Maji Team
