The accessible work of the Blue Ribbon Alliance EMPPA is aimed at anyone who needs help with mental health or addiction problems. EMPPA stands for Accessible, Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Services. The core idea is that everybody can be affected by such problems and therefore has the right to get support. Help and support should be available unconditionally!
EMPPA has low-threshold services, such as online offers or on-site meetings for people in need. EMPPA offers free online counselling by phone or in person for mental health and/or addiction problems. This offer is aimed at people with various forms of physical disabilities. The focus of the chat is peer-to-peer, as the staff members have a disability themselves. Although EMPPA's chat and conversation help is generally for people with various disabilities or their relatives, no one is turned away and the diagnosis is never questioned.
It is not easy to seek help for mental health or addiction problems when the physical disability itself causes a lot of worry. But at EMPPA, substance abuse and mental health services are accessible to all. People with disabilities have the opportunity to talk about their problems and receive individual counselling and support.
EMPPA celebrated its fifth anniversary on 1 February 2023. THANKS TO ALL who make this work possible! EMPPA is committed to accessibility and unconditional support for mental health and addiction problems. Thanks to your donation, they can continue this work. Thank you so much for everything you give!
