Key Achievements in 2024

• Comprehensive Rehabilitation for Landmine Victims:This year, around 100 survivors of landmines and explosive devices received vital comprehensive rehabilitation treatments. These services included psychological therapy, vocational training, and assistance in finding meaningful employment opportunities, helping them reclaim their lives and independence.

• Promoting Inclusion Through Sports: As part of their rehabilitation, 60 beneficiaries participated in Colombia's major marathons, showcasing their resilience and inspiring others with their stories of courage. Their efforts serve as a testament to the power of inclusion and determination.

• Empowering Adaptive Athletes: We proudly sponsored the Heroes of Life team, composed of amputee athletes, who represented Colombia at the international championship in Costa Rica, earning recognition for their perseverance. Additionally, we supported the Antioquia Goalball team, enabling visually impaired athletes to compete in national tournaments and promote adapted sports.

• Paralympic Excellence: Edwin Matiz, a Paralympic cyclist and United for Colombia beneficiary since 2003, represented Colombia with pride at the Paris Paralympic Games. With the support of his adapted prosthesis, Edwin continues to inspire as a symbol of determination and achievement.

• Advancing Prosthetic Solutions:This year, we extended the development of life-changing prosthetic liners to 60 patients from various regions of Colombia. These innovative solutions have significantly improved their quality of life, autonomy, and ability to participate fully in their communities.
