Rebuilding Lives, Restoring Hope
In 2024, United for Colombia continued to provide life-changing rehabilitation for survivors of landmines and explosive devices in Colombia. As conflict and limited healthcare access persist, our mission is more critical than ever.
Thanks to your generous support, we delivered comprehensive care to 34 survivors, including prosthetics, physical therapy, medical treatment, and psychological support. Through social inclusion programs, many also gained access to education, vocational training, employment, and adaptive sports, which promote confidence and resilience.
We also proudly continue supporting Paralympic athlete Edwin Matiz, a symbol of strength and perseverance.
Innovation with Purpose
Our Liner Development Project expanded in 2024, producing over 60 prosthetic liners in Colombia and launching a new size L mold—broadening access and reducing reliance on costly imports.
Liners are soft, protective sleeves worn between an amputee’s skin and their prosthetic limb, essential for comfort, fit, and preventing injury.
A Holistic Approach
Beyond physical recovery, we address the emotional and social needs of our beneficiaries by partnering with organizations that offer family wellness, academic support, and technical training.
Your support makes all of this possible. Thank you for helping us restore dignity, independence, and hope.
With gratitude,
The United for Colombia Team
