Dear Supporter,
At the NSPPL center in Afrin, we are thrilled to share the progress of one of our young beneficiaries, Sarah. Born with congenital clubfoot, Sarah faced additional challenges when, just a few months after birth, she developed meningitis. This resulted in brain damage and paralysis in both her lower limbs, severely impacting her mobility and ability to sit independently.
Our dedicated technical and physiotherapy team has been working closely with Sarah. Through a series of targeted physiotherapy sessions, we’ve been able to strengthen the muscles in her legs, pelvis, and feet, correcting the deformity and stretching her tendons. To support her journey to recovery, we also provided her with an Ankle-Foot Orthosis (AFO) brace, designed to correct the alignment of her feet.
We’re happy to report that Sarah can now sit on her own and stand with the aid of a walker, marking significant progress in her rehabilitation. She continues to receive care, and we are optimistic about further improvements with continued treatment.
Your support makes stories like Sarah’s possible, allowing us to provide life-changing care to those who need it most.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us.
Sincerely,
