Daughters at Risk Need More Help

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you for standing with us through your contributions to this project. Donations have been received, but the funds so far are not enough to begin the full program. While we wait for additional support, we are making efforts to connect the daughters of sex workers with trusted health professionals who can provide them with confidential health assistance and mental health care. This step allows us to address urgent needs while we prepare for the larger intervention.

The situation for these young girls remains dire. In Nigeria, trafficking continues to thrive because of poverty, lack of education, and weak protection systems. According to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, thousands of children are trafficked annually, and daughters of sex workers are among the most at risk because they often grow up without safe networks or access to quality education. Many are lured into trafficking rings that promise quick money but trap them in cycles of abuse.

Our long-term plan is to use your donations to create safe education opportunities, introduce life-skills training, and provide a path away from exploitation. By giving them access to learning and skills development, we will break the cycle that makes them vulnerable to trafficking in the first place.

We deeply appreciate your generosity. Your contributions are the first step toward giving these girls a chance at safety and dignity. In our next updates, we hope to share stories of those who have started receiving help.

With gratitude,
Kadiri, Ugbede-Ojo Dominic
