Public health innovations have changed the course of many diseases, and HIV prevention is no exception. Long-acting PrEP represents one of the most exciting advances in HIV prevention in recent years.
For adolescents who face challenges with daily medication, a prevention option that lasts for months at a time can be life-changing. It reduces the burden of daily adherence while maintaining strong protection against HIV infection.
EFI is committed to helping communities understand the promise of long-acting PrEP and preparing for future implementation of Lenacapavir-based prevention programs. Through awareness, education, and stakeholder engagement, we hope to ensure that vulnerable youth are not left behind.
