Adolescents face unique challenges when it comes to HIV prevention. Busy schedules, social pressures, stigma, and concerns about privacy often make it difficult to maintain daily prevention routines.
This is why innovative approaches such as long-acting PrEP are so important. By reducing the need for daily medication, Lenacapavir offers a prevention option designed to better fit the realities of adolescent life.
At Empower Future Initiative, we are committed to ensuring that Nigerian youth can benefit from advances in HIV prevention. Our project focuses on building awareness, encouraging adoption, and supporting future implementation of long-acting HIV prevention solutions.
The support we have received so far demonstrates growing confidence in this approach. However, reaching vulnerable adolescents across Nigeria will require sustained support from donors and partners.
Together, we can help ensure that young people have access to prevention options that are practical, effective, and designed with their needs in mind.
